Tiracol Fort or Terekhol Fort is built in 17bth century by the rulers of Sawantwadi maharaja Khem Sawant Bhonsle. It is called as Terekhol ort as well. It is built at bay of Tiracol river and Arabian Sea. This fort played important role in Portuguese defense system. You can reach for by ferry ride from Querim and there bridge as well. This fort has the beautiful view of the bay of the Arabian sea and Tiracol river so it was easier to keep the eye on the enemies from this fort. This fort was not in good condition but now a days it has been restored fully and converted into heritage hotel. There is church inside the fort and it is open for general public to visit. Visitors can enjoy beautiful heritage site and photoshoot on this fort.

12.Mormugao Fort Goa

This beautiful fort is built at the mouth of the Zuari River and it was built in 1624 by the Portuguese to have the control over the sea and protection as costal security. There was two fountains and chapel on the fort. As the Portuguese empire spread over other parts of the Goa this fort was ignored and abandoned. Now a days it is ruined and fountains were destroyed but the chapel is in good condition as it was repaired. Visitors should not miss their cameras to capture the beautiful view of the fishing boats at Varca beach and sunset views.
